Take into account:
- I want to go somewhere in Asia
- I don't mind the heat, but don't want to be miserable either
- I like destinations with culture and history, with just a wee bit of outdoorsy stuff, like beaches or hiking
- I want to be able to travel pretty comfortably without breaking the bank
So, suggestions anyone?

Isn't it monsoon season in July for a lot of Asia? Otherwise I'd suggest Goa and Agra.
If you go to Thailand, I bet you could stay with Katie for a few days.
I agree with Pa' Hogley, GOA!!
Or else Bali...
In July it's hot and India's got those Raj-era hill stations to deal with it some...either Goa (beaches & partiers I hear, with an awesome sounding Portugese influence) or Rajasthan for the Goldend Triangle. Of course, Thailand is sweet on the pocket book...
